Programme profile
This programme is aimed at students who, largely, lack a formal education in the classical disciplines, and therefore aims to offer students an intensive training in these disciplines and, in particular, in the Greek and Latin languages.
The course aims to provide a valid and accurate basic training in the knowledge of the ancient world and in particular of Greek and Latin languages and literature, ancient history, classical archaeology and of the permanence of the classic in medieval, modern and contemporary culture.
Programme content
Students are offered preparatory modules in the first year, aimed, among other things, at learning classical languages, Greek and Latin; in the second year modules characterizing the classical world aimed in particular at deepening the knowledge of classical literature, Greek and Latin, and of the history of the ancient world.
In the third year, students have a choice of a wide range of elective modules including thise deepening their knowledge of selected classical themes and those aimed at extending your knowledge of the classical world to fields other than the historical and literary one (such as Archaeology, the History of Art
